Mentorship Rooms

Get matched with a mentor.

Wherever you are in life, you can always use the support, knowledge, and wisdom of others. Our Mentorship Rooms connect young adults with mentors who can help them grow — across high school, college, early careers, and beyond.

How it works

Real relationships, not transactions.

Whatever area you want mentorship to focus on — picking a major, landing a first job, navigating a career pivot, starting a business — we'll find you a space with a mentor whose experience matches what you're working on. Sessions happen by video call, phone, or in person, on a schedule you set together.

Our mentors include software engineers, educators, healthcare workers, aviation professionals (see Pilots4Purpose), nonprofit leaders, and entrepreneurs — people who remember what it was like to need someone in their corner.

Formats

Three ways to be in the room.

One-to-one

A single mentor dedicated to you and your goals. The closest, most personal format.

One-to-many

A small group of mentees learning from one mentor — great for shared focus areas like college prep.

Many-to-many

A circle of mentors and mentees learning from each other. Best when perspectives matter more than one answer.

I want to find a mentor

From talking through a class, to seeing what a day in the life of a professional looks like, to finding someone to take your entrepreneurial ideas to — we'll match you with someone who fits.

FAQ

Mentorship Rooms questions.

Who is eligible to be a mentee?

High school students, college students, recent graduates, and early-career professionals are all welcome. We match based on the goals you describe — not gatekept by background or grades.

How long does a mentorship last?

A typical engagement lasts 3–6 months and meets monthly or biweekly, but the cadence is set by the pair. Some keep going for years.

Is this free?

Yes. Mentorship through Bridges to Dreams Foundation is free for both mentors and mentees.

Do I need to live near a mentor?

No. Most mentorships meet by video call or phone. In-person meetings are an option in cities where mentors and mentees are co-located.
